Memorial Hospital’s primary engineer for fifteen years, MVE performed civil design services, project management, surveying and construction staking for the 40± acre medical campus. The campus includes the primary building, patient towers, cafe, retirement/living center, medical offices and parking garage.

MVE’s consultation was utilized for the relocation of the hospital’s helipad - MVE obtained the helipad’s required permits from CALTRANS and FAA, and designed the helicopter flight path. MVE also designed additional physical plants, utility tunnels and electrical bridge crossings for the campus.

MVE provided consulting services for the expansion of Merced Community Hospital. MVE created plans for expansion of the North, East and West parking lots and primary building.

As a part of this effort, MVE designed improvement plans for the hospitals’ overall water, sewer and storm drainage systems. All necessary permitting and approvals were coordinated through MVE’s project manager and engineer.

MVE also assisted with the expansion by providing construction and bidding assistance surveying and construction staking services.

MVE began work on the Los Banos Community Hospital improvement project by preparing a site plan and base map of the campus. Surveyors then gathered and plotted field data to delineate the buildings to be improved.

Finally, MVE prepared an updated site plan showcasing the new two-story hospital building as located in the southeast parking area and featuring basement parking.

An additional site plan was prepared with helicopter flight pattern criteria to allow for the existing flight pattern to remain unobstructed. A final plan showcasing the new building’s elevation was created to allow for the penthouse to maintain proper flight pattern clearances.
