Modesto Christian School // Modesto, CA

Modesto Christian School (MCS) is an existing private school, which was operating between two campuses, with a primary goal to centralize operations and expand to a K-12 school on their 40-acre campus located on Sisk Road. Teamed with Huff Construction, MVE has served MCS as their primary land planning, surveying and engineering consultant. MVE’s outreach program has served the school as a marketing/public relations campaign manager since inception of the school’s new plans in early 2006. MVE representatives have addressed school groups to provide project status information and are on-call to provide technical support.

MVE completed the initial entitlement and permitting process, by completing the: boundary and topography surveys; calculating the site plans; writing legal descriptions and preparing plat maps; on-site and off-site improvements plans; construction specifications; cost estimates; and Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP). A master site grading and drainage plan and site improvements plans were prepared for installation.

MJC East Campus // Modesto, CA

MVE performed boundary surveys and aerial topographic surveys of the entire190 acre West campus and the 60 acre East campus in Modesto, CA. MVE also prepared ALTA surveys on portions of the East Campus. The purpose of the projects was to prepare the base mapping and inventory for each of the campuses that also included the Columbia College campus in Columbia, CA. The base map for each campus would be the foundation for several additions and improvements that would be completed as part of an overall expansion of the facilities, with an overall budget of $80 mil.

Our performance on these projects led us to be recommended by Kitchell (Construction Manager) and Yosemite Community College District staff to complete additional engineering and surveying services with site architects preparing the construction documents for the improvements.

Franklin High School // Stockton, CA

Stockton Unified School District is updating its 45-acre Franklin High School campus to accommodate an expanding student population and modernize the campus. The school, which is home to approximately 2,700 students, requested MVE’s services to investigate and document all existing on-site and adjacent infrastructure improvements for confirmation of capacity and feasibility of expansion. Working with the architectural firm of Lionakis, the location and service requirements for a new administrative/classroom building were determined along with the evaluation for additional on-site parking and access roads.

Existing deficiencies in the system will be identified, and the capacity for future growth will be analyzed, as well. Based on the findings from the existing utility investigation, MVE will propose upgrades to the sewer, storm, and water systems. These upgrades will correct existing deficiencies in the system, and will provide for the current growth of the campus and student population.
